18 members of governing party poised to join JO



MP Sanath Nishantha states that 18 members of the governing party were poised to join the Joint Opposition (JO).
He stated this upon attending a media briefing of the JO, which was held at Nelum Mawatha today (06).
MP Nishantha said that the Deputy Minister of Tourism Development and Christian Religious Affairs, Arundika Fernando and Cabinet Minister Priyankara Jayaratne had already expressed their willingness to join hands with the JO.
MPs Rohitha Abeygunawardana and Piyal Nishantha also attended the media briefing.
MP Piyal Nishantha, upon expressing his thoughts, stated that ministers of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) and young MPs of the United National Party (UNP) were both disappointed with the reigning government, and would soon be making a decision about joining the JO.
